It takes a special genius to take almost nothing and produce a picture of what looks like emptiness and yet, if you look closely, is not at all empty.

Lovely tones.

Sky and sea, and their separation.

This has a gentle, meditative feel to it. The ripples in the water seem to harmonize with the billows of the clouds. It has a kind of sweet depth to it, a soothing sense of contrast and the kind of pastel that's not candy-like but is more dreamlike. The few floating details provide an additional sense of wonder.
