AJBart 9 Posted September 18, 2014 OK, now the title makes sense to me!! Had a hard time with your original title. Really like the background you have used here. An interesting display. AJ Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 258 Posted September 18, 2014 Hey, AJ! The first title was I supposed scales it would be in Turkish and when I pasted it in Google translate it said "Vagina show", then I hurried to change it with the real Turkish word for scales, ölçekler that is! Thank you for your visit and comment! PDE Link to comment
krpradu 125 Posted September 18, 2014 I like a lot this subject,if can tell how many time and what weighted many, many years ago.If you still have the possibility I think that with only one can do an excellent composition with something on plate.all my best Link to comment
alfbailey 1 Posted September 18, 2014 Ok, I'll get all the play on words jokes out of the way first. When I first "Weighed" it up, I rated it 10 on a "Scale" of 1 - 10 of course but on "balance" It's a PN 7 : - ) Ok enough of that. The photograph has a lovely soft lighting, enough to allow subtle shadow and light whilst showing great sharpness and detail also. There are several interpretations that one can bring to the subject, be it Justice, Balance or just Weight. But I like the fact that there are three scales, three is a great number so much more interesting that two and not as distracting as four. Thought provoking material and great photography as usual! Pierre Dumas 258 Posted September 19, 2014 Alf, Thank you for your high rating and for your interpretation! It must be the jurisdiction shown here, the empty plates show different weight, ha! I know it's just an optical illusion or better to say illusion of a child who doesn't understand the working principal and the laws of the mechanic, but sometimes an illusion says something, especially in the surreal and that's why this picture is a bit surrealistic! Cheers to that! PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 258 Posted September 19, 2014 Hi Jorge, my querido amigo, You are not in a mood since you didn't write a novel as usual, cheer up my friend and tank you for your precise critique, short, but very precisely told all! Cheers to that! PDE Link to comment

lauramarco 0 Posted September 19, 2014 Dear Pierre,I'm intrigued by this image of the scales. Number three is fine, the odd numbers work, but I'm thinking about the meaning it may convey ... and especially my eyes are drawn to the part of the clearest wood between the two scales on the left. That clarity makes the photo be charged on that side. Maybe, it's a bit distracting...Then the scales are a treasure, I have to say... very beautiful :)I'd take care of lights and bright in the background at the left side and think about the role of the third scale, but ... I have to tell you I like the picture and I hope my comment would be useful for you.Substance... it does has got!, I like your images, there's sparkle on them. You are very creative!.Kindest regards, Laura Marco Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 258 Posted September 19, 2014 Dear Laura, Thank you for your as usually thorough exploration and for the nice compliments! I'm proud of this montage cause it looks like one piece of wood and it's three shots on the door of my room! The difference of the bright and darker part must come from the fact I used bounced flash and in order to avoid the difference to be sudden and obvious I connected bright with bright and dark with dark side! That's the whole story! Best regards PDE Link to comment
color 3 Posted September 20, 2014 Nice work Pierre. I did not guess that it was three shots of the same scale. It's an interesting image. I enjoy the wood. I used to make furniture and knives, so I appreciate beautiful wood. Link to comment

Pierre Dumas 258 Posted September 23, 2014 Esattamente! Solo ho proposto tre misure, per ogni caso! Il più - il meglio! Grazie mille per la tua critica intelligente e filosofica! Ciao Mau Pietro il felice Link to comment
felixphoto 0 Posted September 27, 2014 Stari kantar u tri pozicije, sviđa mi se kompozicija i dosta si dobro "ukrotio" nezgodno svetlo. Stavrno, lepa kreacija, u tvom stilu. Svaka čast! Link to comment
Pozdrav PDE Link to comment
