The stark drama and balance of this capture are wonderful.  I think you have been totally successful in creating  a "competition worthy" piece.  Sometimes rules are made to be broken, and in this case, the "no-centering" rule does not work.  The way you captured this does work.  Great eye, great DOF and great planning and positioning.
