I like the power of the composition but thought it might have more punch without the color so I played around with it. I don't know if it's necessarily an improvement but at least it's an alternate take.

Thank you, Jack.  I like that version very much.  The only other black and white version I had tried had been one that was darkened so much that it looked like imminent nightfall.  This is better.

I've gotta say, I'm partial to the color in this one. I have always loved the way a dark gray sky looks before a storm; the way the colors take on a natural saturation against the backdrop of the gray. I think you managed to capture that here, Lannie.
