I've photographed peppers from our garden, whenever an interesting one

turns up. This one has an undeniably erotic shape (at least to me) so

I played with lighting and angles for a few shots. Instead of using

artificial light I used light from the window--the setting sun.

I love your concept and use of natural light. It takes guts to try to emulate images of any of the great masters. I am curious if you considered doing a B&W conversion. The color, I feel, detracts for the form, which is really the subject here.

It is very good. Can be better, if you used a polarizing filter to cut out the bright reflection. Also, it would be a very nice in B&W too.

Cheers.

Thanks for your comments, guys.  I didn't even consider black and white!  Maybe to me the color denotes what it actually is, a green pepper.  Without color it would perhaps be less identifiable.  Just a thought.  Bela, I could have just cloned out the reflections, and I did clone out a few spots already.  To me, the reflections are a part of natural light; all objects have reflections when they are shiny and sitting next to a window.  The bright spots also show some texture, which to me was important to show.
