Lovely little dash of red/violet sets these leaves off. Nice one, Lannie, it almost looks like a detail from a painting by Heneri Rousseau.

Thank you, Jack.  I took a bunch of shots from that bridge before finally deciding that this was the best one that I got.

I have to say that it looked like a real jungle straight down below the bridge railing.

I was also surprised at how symmetrical ordinary sumac trees are when viewed from above.  I must have seen a million of these scrubby trees in the Southeast, but apparently never from directly above before.

Jack, I appreciate the comparison with H. Rousseau.  I have to say, though, that the women I know have no desire to take off their clothes and lie down in that jungle--for any purpose.  I haven't asked, please understand, but I just know that they would not do it.

[Henri Rousseau]

(I just happened to notice that one of those cats is absolutely bug-eyed at getting a glimpse of such a sight.  All the cats I know would tend to do the very same thing.)

Lannie,  This image needs to be viewed large to appreciate the fine detail you have presented in the variety of foliage here.  Yes, that hint of purple brings the image home.  Excellent.  As an afterthought, I wonder if you would want to artfully clone in some of the foliage to fill the gap in lower right. Surely, I think this image is fine as it is, just a thought.  Larry

Thanks, Larry.  Yes, I like it better large as well.  I have been thinking about what else needs to be done to it prior to printing--including filling the relatively empty areas.
