My timing on this was just before the clouds overtook the scene and took with it the vibrant colors of my national Acadian flag.Thank you for the kind appreciation.

I am a repeat offender on category selection;I am however relieved that you still appreciate the image.A fellow PN'er once threatened to punish me with a ''2'' rating for posting a really good image(my opinion) in what he considered to be the wrong category....whatever!

Low rating for category?  How ridiculous!  My belief is the rating should rest on the strength of the image.  I also believe comments are more important than ratings as this is how we all get better.  Take care and keep up the good work.

I appreciate your observation on the ratings aspect of our PN community. I am really not ratings motivated and if I were,I would have left this site as my images draw very average ratings; I however use the ratings platform as I find its side-by-side format more interesting than the critique forum.I carburate on the very constructive comments from the many talented photographers in our group and for my part,I rate only images on which I have already issued a critique.
