"Dunes" actually a few miles from downtown St. Paul.  There once was an office building here on this site.  Over the last couple years these large piles of gravel have appeared, complete with "no trespassing" signs.

Not in the Badlands of South Dakota, but in a relatively urban

neighborhood, as explained in my note. I was driving by one evening

and was struck by the textures on these gravel piles created by the

late afternoon sun. I love geometry and textures, so I had to come

back a do some photos!

Hello Steve

Sorry but this image just doesn't work for me mainly due to the centered subject and blank sky. It comes across as a static image although the light does help accentuate the details. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your input, Kenneth.  All opinions matter.  These are experimental for me and I'm just liking them for the forms and textures.
