NANA Y CARO III

Hy Sweid, I am travelling but will just take a moment to comment on this one.

It is characteristic of your ability to fill the screen with meaning with just a fraction of a face or expression recorded. It would simply not occur to me to press the shutter at such an instant, yet you succeed repeatedly in entering into the psyche of the moment and anticipating the result. Sure the dark and light hairs complement each other beautifully, as do the profiles too, but beyond a simple portraiture, you once again succeed in creating a story line that draws the viewer in and makes him share in the wonderful life of these young individuals. Children are very secretive and it takes a very special person to be allowed to enter into their world. Beautiful shot, I love it. 

I'm flattered and a bit blush, my works are the results of an amateur exploring everything.

Abou those very young girls, the black haired and the blonde, they are friends of my son, a shot taken six years ago, one summer sunday after an "asado" (something like a barbecue) at home organized by them, a bunch of children running across the garden.

They are two astounding opposites, two delicate pieces fitting perfectly like gems in the hands of an artist, like Ying and Yang, devote friends between them, like should be the indestructible friendship at this luminous age.

Suddenly I've discovered that they trust me, so, my camera in touch, and this is the testimony of this marvelous sunday.

No false humble neither pretentious statements, I still believing that accidents sometimes offer the best of us.
