overdiep 0 Posted September 3, 2014 Pierre, I understand that the sun will shine above the city in the future. All the sun flowers are turned to Venezia. Best regards, Marco Link to comment

Pierre Dumas 264 Posted September 3, 2014 Marco, The future Venezia will be all the towns and cities near the sea in the future, that's the point! Thank you for your witty comment! PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 264 Posted September 3, 2014 To tell you the truth, AJ, the filter which I don't remember did the colors and the texture! Thank you for your visit and encouraging comment! PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 264 Posted September 3, 2014 Thank you, Richard! As I said above the filter made all that and I don't remember which one it was! All my pictures are unique for I always forget how I've made them, ha! Cheers to that! PDE Link to comment

michaellinder 16,611 Posted September 3, 2014 I too love the color effects. Were sections of the image solarized? There is a riddle in this photograph. Sunflowers, like other plants, exhibit phototropism; they point themselves toward sunlight. Yet in the world you've created there's no sun. So do I conclude that the sunflowers are being artificially irradiated? More importantly, it looks to me like Venice has fallen into very bad times. The buildings are partially underwater, and the lone human being left alive is desperately trying to find dry land. A grim future portrayed by an image consisting of delicate colors . . . My best always, michael Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 264 Posted September 3, 2014 Michael, This is the end of Venice and all the near sea sites, the boatman is desperately looking to find some tourists and the sunflowers are watching curiously, they don't need sun in this case, it's a surreal composition! Thank you for your precise observation! Cheers PDE P.S. I can't remember the filter and I have forgotten what solarizing was, sorry! Link to comment

John Peri 1,029 Posted September 4, 2014 I'm truly a very positive person and a born optimist, but here admittedly what I think about when seeing this image is a "firing squad". Maybe it is the horrendous news that we keep reading about in the news, where hundreds of people are getting slaughtered every day again in Irak. Some revolting videos featuring this activity are prominently featured on Facebook, whereas any hint at a topless model immediately results in been banned from the site for an extended interval of time. Some real weirdos run that place ..as always, an interesting image Pierre. What I truly like about many of your creations is that they are largely unpredictable, thus inciting the viewer to take notice. Well done, John Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 264 Posted September 4, 2014 Firing squad of sunflowers?! No, John, they are only spectators of what is happening to Venice which again symbolizes all the near sea settlements! We all know it's already coming truth, the flooding of the near see objects, I've seen about it on History channel! Thank you for your contemplative comment! Cheers PDE Link to comment

morophaenixmau 19 Posted September 5, 2014 Caro amico, che dire davanti ad una così simbolica e perfetta composizione? Questi girasole rappresentano un po' tutti noi, in ammirazione davanti alle tue creazioni! Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 264 Posted September 6, 2014 Ben detto! Ciao MauPietro l'orgoglioso! Link to comment
