A neighbor brought over these grotesque looking carrots. I wasn't about to eat

them after cutting open the large one and seeing what spilled out.

The lighting was very simple.  Just late afternoon window light diffused through venetian blinds, with a sheet of white typing paper as a reflector.

 

I had intended this to be an infrared study, but the carrots weren't particularly interesting in IR, so I removed the IR filters and made a few straight exposures, which I liked better.

 

I actually wanted a small gherkin sweet pickle for the mismatched offspring, but apparently I'd eaten them all.  I had to settle for a date.
