Zinnia Abstract

I guess this is a manipulation but it's very effective and well done. I some times fool around with different manipulations but mostly I don't know what the hell I'm doing. This one works, though.

This is a flower taken in the Laval Nature Center (Quebec, Canada) a couple of weeks ago. It was taken with my 70-300mm nikkor and while it was "OK" and probably looked like a million other flower images.  I knew I needed to do something different. I made a layer (duplicate) - I blurred the orginal and increased the saturation. The second layer I used the warp filter. Why don't you try it and drop me a note if you have it up for display.

 

Tina, recently I visited New York and for the first time, I walked across the Brooklyn bridge.  I remember you have some "NY" bridge images and I thought about some of the images you had taken. I walked down to ground zero and I got a shot I think may be worth sharing in the future.
