I looked to all this bridge photos and is a very interesting piece indeed,is something that I think must be preserved to see what can be done just with wood.

We still have many of these vintage covered bridges here in Canada.The tendency is to replace them with more modern structures when they lose their structural integrity;in this case as in other cases where traffic is minimal,there is an effort made to maintain them if only for their historical value.As you may note,this one received a new roof and exterior cladding over its well preserved structure.I suspect that the floor may have been replaced at some time as this one dates back to 1931.Driving through these at slow speed is a real treat as the apron is very absorbant and makes for a very smooth/cushioning drive.
