Sometimes it is difficult to comment on a photo because the message it conveys is personal and the reaction it evokes says as much about the viewer as the artwork itself, so one is reluctant to pursue it further ..

your images are always strong and meaningful. They are filled with nuances that are often hidden in the shadows, and so one must sometimes look at them intensly or more than once for the message to arrive.

The "No" can be a rejection, but it can also on the contrary be the realisation of the significance of a moment, where one is faced with inevitability and the absence of escape. Such is the power of love, to attract and to reject, sometimes there is confusion and the opposite to our intention occurs, only to be reversed at a later date.

Apart from the expression, the diagonals, the grain and the wonderful play of the light and shadow, the image stands alone with no interpretation, but when an imges touches us, then we start to ask ourselves why ..

You say "...where one is faced with inevitability and the absence of escape. Such is the power of love..."

I use to think that one of the strongest forces that impulse a photographer is the unconscious knowledge of the inevitability of the absence, and we guess that this absence will happen in the next second, always, then, we try to capture just a little piece of time, a little molecule of the air around the subject, as a lean pale way to make more bearable all the possible absences, even the absence of escape.

And the power of love... well my dear friend, I must confess that I am a believer  of Julio Cortázar, when in some page of "Rayuela" he says "...doesn't exists such a thing named love, but the lovers does exists, they are".

So, here I am, a wreckage with a camera ready to shoot.

Thanks a lot for your insightful words, comments like this restore my faith in my pixels!
