alfbailey 2 Posted August 25, 2014 This is a nicely composed image with good subject proportion and arrangement and nice straight horizon. Just a few suggestions that might make a small difference, hope you don't mind. The little yacht in the distance might have been better situated between the rocks rather than directly over the left one. I don't know what camera settings you used but perhaps a lower ISO and a smaller aperture may have lengthened the exposure to allow a sense of movement in the sea. There are a few, what look like water spots on the lens that appear on the image at the top that could be removed. Best Regards Alf Link to comment
Gerald Cafferty 83,461 Posted August 26, 2014 Hi Alf, thanks for the comments. You are correct in what you say, I was preoccupied lining up the profile of General de Gaulle to notice the boat. The spots in the sky are sensor dust which I should have dealt with post. The long exposure you suggested would be a good idea if it weren't for the fact I mostly leave my tripod in the boot of the car.I have a bit of a thing about horizons, it's always the first I correct. Thanks again for your interest shown. Gerald Link to comment
