Assimilated

lars raun

Just a doodle. The pose was created by cloning and combining two shots. Background was made entirely by brushes and burn tool. For structure I used a stockphoto from www.imageafter.com

now that was sweet :-) a 1/1 rating from a schmuck with a canon D1 and a talent the size of my left nut. Why people like Malan Louw waste time on rating photos they absolutely dont like is beyond me *lol* (his average rating is 2.3 or something)

*rolls eyes*

LOL!! I don't know if I care for he crackle effect, but I do like the obviously head up a** part and I do like the lighting effect & the B&W. I would love to witness your workflow.

Thats amazing Stephen how you say that I'm a ripper without the least bit of doubt in your voice *lol* Because, if I didnt take this photo, how did my body end up on it? The pose may not be absolutely original, I've seen both drawings and photos like this before, but this is my version of it. tsk. tsk.

Thanks to Matthew and Heather for your nice comments :-)

Hello Lars:

An outstanding surreal image. A touch of Dali meets Yves Tangy. The broken mosaic projection ties it together nicely. --Jim

I dug up the old email attachment that I had from a few years ago, and see it's a different photo. I apologize for my accusation of it being the same photo. I'll delete my previous comment. I don't like people ripping off other people's photo, or ideas for that matter. You have some very creative photos in your folder, so I'm surprised that you would need to use someone elses idea.

Man!! And you say you're also in the me2 phase also!?? C'mon...! You're highly original, not much work like this is seen frequently. I'll keep checking your folder.

OOOooohhh... not a complete rip-off, only the greater part of someone else's original concept. At the very least you should be willing to acknowledge another's intellectual property (also known as creativity).

Hello? Lars? My comments on "Patriot Act" were deleted without a peep of protest from you. Here, I busted you for plagiarism. Will this comment be deleted, too?

hey, how could you hold that pose in front of the mirror that long, it must have hurt ! :) scratching an itch can make you twist and shout !

Very original. Looks like a transporter accident gone awry, rather than a Borg assimilation. ;-)

Only negative is that this is an image that needs to be seen in a larger format to be fully appreciated. I rarely give ratings on originality, but this definately has earned it.

I would love to hear what you think is original about this blatant rip-off. Lars has yet to give the original artist, here or in his USA head-up-the-ass image, proper credit.
