Whilst i do love to shoot artistic and thought provoking nudes, and have no objection to anyone enjoying the same passion, i just don't like the full on use of the female genitalia like this. There is little thought, little imagination needed to view the image, its just full on in your face! For me i like the intrigue the subtle nuances of the female form, not wham bam thank you mam! Does very little for the model either, not exactly one for the family to fawn over is it.

Not a fan unfortunately

In my opinion it is one of the greatest nude I have seen. Not only is it a good exquisitely natural pose that does not rely on the model to put on an unnatural e facial expression, but it allows the genitalia to be seen in an equally natural manor neither hiding nor emphasizing it. Focus is not excessively sharp anywhere in the image. Sharp enough to make out individual hairs on the models head but soft enough to add to the natural feel of the image. Composition is amazingly complex in that ones eye is drawn equally to the models eye and face as well as to the lower third of the image. Very well done.

kudos to Michael Gregory on target comment to a particularly humane, utterly comfortable nude --- nothing's contrived here.

I sense that it is offbeat to make a comment directly on the female genitalia in our society. So I guess a display of that part is inclined some to be an outlier and even a barrier breaker in the big picture.... Unless by Georgia Okeefe as metphorical art perhaps. We talk freely about breasts, but labia if I may get clinical, another story. N But it is still a little too clinical for my appreciation, Rudolf I wish you well as a barrier climber, the next Berlin War and so on .....maybe for the male we think of the finger wave examination. Ouch:-) Seriously I see some tension in this kind of work, but I do not reject it completely in the grand scheme. Not my thing I confess.
