From my balcony

Sky is very engaging but inclusion of the rooftops doesn't strengthen the composition to my eye. 

Marvellous (NZ spelling) in many ways, but what is that band above the roofs to the right ?

Thanks Jim D, but it is how it is, and if I cropp this rooftop, I miss a part of the church and the 2 houses, and I don't like that

And Jim A, I am not sure but it is glass, kind of windows I think at the hallway/stairway?

In addition to the drama and uniqueness of the sky, the rooftops and church steeple provide a sense of place. It allows the sky its reality even while the rifts in the clouds are almost surreal. Adding to the surrealism is the sense that I am seeing reflections, possibly the camera is looking through glass, which creates some neat shadowing and lighting and color effects.
