Val d'Ultimo I

...in Val d'Ultimo, South Tyrol (I just love the Italian name of this

valley - it suits so well to the remote, pristine location).

Spectacular light and a beautiful vantage point to view the valley spread out below. I especially like the way the light picks out the individual trees in the forest.

This is really a very iteresting composition. The bright light and the very well seen furrows gave me the feeling of a newspaper....., this was my first second entering the scene.The trees shadow are enhancing the B/W scene. beautifully seen, I like it a lot and take to my collection.

many thanks for your comments. I've taken this from the opposite slope in that valley - through the distance the original file had a bit of haze and low contrast. But with a litte postprocessing I could bring the nice side-light back into the scene.
