Pierre Dumas 260 Posted August 16, 2014 Thank you Tony, There is a version with less dramatic sky! Here it is! Cheers PDE Link to comment

charo 3 Posted August 16, 2014 You always add a personal touch to the images Pierre! In this case, the color palette you used here, gives a surreal feeling to it. I like the angle of shoot too!Kind Regards,Rosario. Link to comment
AJBart 9 Posted August 16, 2014 Yes, I agree with the other comments. Sky draws you in to this cool and surreal scene. I like it much better than the other version. AJ Link to comment
jorge_fernandez3 0 Posted August 16, 2014 The houses must be in an area of heavy flooding, so high and different....Great sky..warm regards my friend. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 260 Posted August 16, 2014 Thank you, Rosario! I don't remember whether I knelt to shoot this (I usually don't), but the bazaar is steep on this place, so I unwillingly gave it the angle! PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 260 Posted August 16, 2014 Thank you, AJ! It's a matter of taste and personal expectations! The other one was done with poster edges filter and is much brighter with yellow sky and surrounding! The reality is more expressed on that one! PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 260 Posted August 16, 2014 Jorge, The last flood which took place in the 1962 didn't reach that high! The houses are not high, it is an optical illusion! Thank you for your contribution! PDE Link to comment
photo by patsy dunn 1 Posted August 16, 2014 Hi Pierre, I have to agree with Tony the sky draws you in. Wonderful creative work as always!! Take care, Patsy Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 260 Posted August 16, 2014 Thank you Patsy, De gustibus non e disputandum, I prefer the yellow one because the sense of heat it evokes is closer to the reality and the real mood of my country! PDE Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted August 16, 2014 The colors and point of view produce a powerful and somewhat threatening feeling as if this whole block is in motion and sliding downhill towards us. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 260 Posted August 17, 2014 Thank you Jack, I never saw it that way, maybe because I was more concentrated on the other version which is brighter and doesn't leave that impression! PDE Link to comment
richard hans 0 Posted August 17, 2014 PDE, great visual angle & perspective for nice houses and against beautiful sky which composed unique & splendid result, well done! Best regards Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 260 Posted August 18, 2014 Thank you Richard, The lens used is Carl Zeiss Flektogon 20mm, that others meant by angle, presumably you too, but I didn't get it, ha! Cheers PDE Link to comment
John Peri 1,027 Posted August 18, 2014 You somehow managed to give this scene a life and identity of it's own, anointing it with a powerful presence. One imagines a history filled with an interesting past. Very nicely done. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 260 Posted August 18, 2014 Hey, John This was the whole wide world to me when I was four years old kid and I even saw it rarely since we lived in a house with big yard surrounded with high walls and a gate, large gate! My brother sometimes took me with him when he was going to buy the amusing newspaper with a lot of things for children and adult as well! Thank you for your input! PDE Link to comment
panayotis_papadopoulos 0 Posted August 18, 2014 Very interesting presentation Pierre with a touch of your own. I would love to see the same picture with more light on the paved road and especially the front building's facade. cheers! Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 260 Posted August 18, 2014 Thank you Panayotis, Here is the more visible one, there is no facade, shop window, you must know what bazaar is, ha! PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 260 Posted August 19, 2014 Thank you, Maria! You never know whether it's sunset or sunrise on a photo, I think this was early morning! PDE Link to comment
morophaenixmau 3 Posted August 19, 2014 Caro amico, un'altra immagine non usuale per te, molto interessante, mi esprime un senso di solitudine forse anche perché sto attraversando io un periodo di tristezza!Ciao amico Pierre!Mautriste! Link to comment
