URBAN NIGHTSCAPE: This version was processed from the raw file and notonly shows more detail, but also shows less "watercoloring" fromCanon's heavy-handed noise reduction in the JPEG files. Commentswelcome.

I guess the night hawks and night owls each have their own corner. It looks warm and welcoming so how come I feel that if I entered I would be a stranger?

RAW really does make a difference, doesn't it?

I have always liked shots like this; looking in to warm looking scenes. I especially like the incongruity of the surfer right in the middle of the frame, dividing the two "camps".

Jack, I guess I feel the same--I go by there all the time but have never gone in.

Amy, there is a divide, isn't there?  Two worlds, maybe three.  Yes, I do like the raw, although I don't think Canon raw (CR2) tolerates major exposure corrections in raw very well--but very little adjustment was needed here.
