The composition works well for me.  I like the white painted end of the timber with its cracks and the metal frame around it, positioned against the sky, and the exaggerated cantilever effect that your point of view offered.  To my eye, things appear a tad overprocessed.  The top branches of the trees on the left are odd, the darkness of the sky looks forced, and there is a lack of detail in the highlights.

Suprememly beautiful composition and great BW tones.

Although I agree with the overexposure part, it is something that attracts the viewer. Then the eyes move on to the rest of the structure and to the sky with the clouds.

Very interesting elements and composition.
