Laurent, we followed your series of the important fishing industry in your area. You showed us the beginning of the lobster season. We did not know that the boats go out more than once to place the traps. You tell an interesting story with your technically great pictures. Very informative.

Also if rate is only possible on "Wharfside growth!",...compliments for all this...yellow series!

Thank you again for looking in and for the kind observation.I am glad you take the time to read my write-ups which are basically a repeat of what these fisherman share with me on their not so easy bread winner.The two trips for the traps you refer to are motivated by the capacity of these small boats to carry only half(150) of the 300 traps quota per fishing licence.Once the lobster season(May&June) is over,the boats are converted as here and re-rigged for herring with winches to haul the nets.Other boats are converted for mackerel fishing,a totally different activity which I will try to expose with a few images....eventually.
