LenMarriott 9 Posted August 12, 2014 A very nicely composed photo in a natural looking setting. (no bird feeder) These skittish birds don't stay still for long so you did well to capture this in the short time available to you. Back lighting elevates this one from the many others posted on PN. I am a newby at bird photography but in the spirit of offering a critique may I suggest the use of weak flash in such situations, not to affect the overall scene exposure but simply to put a highlight in the bird's eye. No deal breaker though. I'd be most happy to return with such an image. One other observation, we newbies would really appreciate more in-depth technical information. How else are we going to get shots as good as this one? :-) Best, LM. Link to comment
