Simple but very effective elements. I like the dark shadows of the steps and the visible texture on the wall.

I would crop the bottom off as the shade of the plant is distracting me from the door, the hand rails and the stairs. I would leave at least part of the plant and its pot as it does serve as a framing element.

I would also try to increase the intensity of the yellow door if possible.

Another option would be a B&W bearing in mind the excellent contrast that the strong sun creates.

Very interesting shot in any case.

I agree with Andres on the B&W possibilities. Works well either way thanks to the harsh & contrasty light which hits the wall at just the right angle to show off the textures there.  His suggestion to intensify the yellow door is also valid in my opinion but no deal breaker.  Bottom line:  Very nice image.  Worthy of your efforts.  Best, LM.
