A scene that doesn't come to mind as we sit to enjoy lobster, it's a rough vocation.  Excellent shot... Mike

You are right. This can be a tricky trade especially on days like this. The lobster season lasts for two months and these fishermen work the sixty days without a break with get-up time at 3h30 in the morning and get back home whenever the 300 traps have been visited, emptied, lobster measured for legal size and claws rubber-banded, traps re-baited before dropping back in the water.....if the catch is poor at this location, move to a new spot.On return to wharf, sometimes a traffic jam as each has to take turns at the buyers' weight scales....then,wash the boat and fuel up for the next day's early start.Deck hands usually get to the boat earlier than the captain/owner to prepare the bait and so on to deliver this fresh delicacy.

Thank you. These small boats take a beating when the sea is big like this, especially when loaded to the hilt on opening day of the season. We are now only some 7 weeks away for repeat action such as this.
