these pictures of the serie "acamas" are heavy color-manipulated.

first I changed the colors and saturation partielly to increase the color-contrast of the picture, to make the different parts of the landscape more visible.

additonal I put 1 colored layer over the original color version and merged it togather.

The other versions are the colorized version 1.

I've been doing a lot of b/w lately so it surprises me that I like this one the most. This is a creative shot with a great blend of colors and a dramatice perspective that matches the drama of the capture. Very nice.

I am not totally convinced by the composition. The lower part is not very interesting and could be cut off. I think that the two left trees alone would have be more interesting. But a croping from this view does not work. It would be necessary to take another shot closer to the trees and without the hills behind (but with the sky). And finally, I am not sure that the colorization save it. I prefer the first one of the series, with the reservations that there is too much undergrowths in the bottom, and the branches do not stand out enough on the sky (but i can guess that it was difficult to do better).

May be the lower ( uninteresting) part is a ballance to the large sky area. I agree that it would be better to get closer if the trees are the main point ( as the title says). But if you take sky and land under consideration it may work.
