Oh, I just saw the turtles!!! This must have been a fascinating spot!!! I have seen some of the Carolina swamps in a few movies recently and they really are quite 'magical' in appearance. You really got a bonus with this shot, the Swan and the turtles!!!

The highlights, especially the swan are blown out. Comp is nice.

Gail, thanks this was a really good spot. The swan was moving so I didn't have time to make any camera adjustments (as Jack indicates it's blown out from the bright sun).

I almost missed the basking turtles and I was trying to figure out why I almost missed them in the first place but I did not come up with an answer. Perhaps, the beginning of senility.   Nice shot.
