!!!  Hard to believe this isn't film !!!

I'm a sucker for darkly exposed photographs and this one is certainly no exception. The tone and high contrast is beautiful in this piece.

Thanks, Ed.  I actually was just trying to see if I could make the file look as if it had been taken with film.  I probably overdid it, but I do believe that I could learn to do this.

Thanks, Amy.  Making it this dark brought out some detail and obscured other detail.  I guess that you could say that I was willing to sacrifice some detail in order to capture a certain mood.  B&W film often conveys that moodiness, and so I wanted to try to replicate such effects with digital.  As I told Ed above, I might have gone a bit too far.
