The fall colors give this a kind of dated, Kodachrome feeling as if this had fallen out of someone's 1960's photo album. The lights from within the buildings reinforce the slightly nostalgic ambiance for me.

Thanks, Jack.  I found this on a card that I recovered a few weeks back.  All of them together gave me an overwhelming sense of the past.

Taken the evening of November 3, 2008, the day before the election of the first African-American as President of the United States. 

 

There was electricity in the air this day on this campus, one of the earliest African-American college campuses in the United States.
