Federico Fellini was born on January 20, 1920 and died October 31,

1993, he was an Italian film director and scriptwriter. Known for his

distinct style that blends fantasy and baroque images with

earthiness, he is considered one of the most influential filmmakers of

the 20th century, and is widely revered.

In a career spanning almost fifty years, Fellini won five Academy

Awards including the most Oscars in history for Best Foreign

Language Film. His influence and legacy is found in many films and

TV shows around the world.

I have not seen any of his films but my friend has seen four, including La Dulce Vita and 81/2 which are two of his most well known films. My friend claims that he is one of the best film director ever!

but in 1953," I Vitelloni" found favour with the critics and public. Winning the Silver Lion Award in Venice, it secured Fellini’s first international distributor. The Road, "La Strada" was one of the films that got my friend interested in foreign fims. The other one was "Hiroshima Mon Amour"
