A cold front was approaching from the northwest as Hurricane Arthur approached the Outer Banks (far to the east) from the south.

Hurricane Arthur was approaching the Outer Banks (far to the east)from the south as a cold front was coming in from the northwest. Itwas oppressively humid and southern gothic at its best and worst,although I am not sure that the picture captures the mood all thatwell. Comments welcome.

Lannie, I really like the vantage point you chose here. The way that white cloud lines up with the S curve pulls my eye through the composition. Nicely composed.
