Taken at Lower Antelope Canyon in Arizona and to be able to view the ray

of light through a slot in these canyons and document it is an experience.

Going down through five flight of stairs to reach the sandy floor surrounded

by spectacular designs, texture, shapes, natural etchings in these

sandstones is just a sight to behold. Thank you for viewing and your

comments are precious.

Lester,  I have seen so many iconic shots of the Antelope slot canyon.   This goes way beyond being iconic and is truly art.  How fortunate you are to have captured this natural spotlight. The light is the key element of the image and gives it drama and artistic impact.  Also the tack sharp horizontal lines and texture of the rocks just left of the light beam create definition.  The out of focus foreground - intentional I bet - leads the eye to the lines at the rear.  You have my compliments on a superb image.  Even though I haven't been to Antelope, this image  makes me feel as if I am there.

Ricardo,

Your comment and rating mean a lot especially coming from you. Thanks!

Emmanuel,

I did use the wide angle purpose to be far from the spray of the dust to visualise the light ray. Only I did some cropping to present a more intimate composition. Thanks!

Milton,

Few words from you but worthy. Best regards!

Larry,

Thank you for your precious observations and I'm happy what you feel about this image. Best regards!

Ernest,

Nice to hear from you. Thanks!

LESTER
