Hello Michael, my wife had to take and art class so I have been helping her, I hope I am a help. One of the old masters of photography she is studying is Alfred Stieglitz and the image was sun and shadow in a table, sorry, I cant remember the name. What impresses me about that and your post is photographers can take everyday objects and turn them into art.

I wonder, would this have worked in a painting? Photography is such a unique medium and presents the abstract world I feel the best.
