This busy insect joined in with the bees and wasps attracted by the

Lupin in my garden.Not a very sharp image as I could not freeze this

rapid moving bug whose perpetual movement resembled strangely that of

a hummingbird.This is the first time I spot one of these and would

appreciate your comment.Thank you-Laurent

Ditto. Hummingbird moth, well capture. Maybe try cropping top and bottom tighter to get rid of some of the extra information. Some selective burning might help bring out more of the details.

Thank you for viewing and for the info.I was curious to get a look at this facinating bug and I did not do a very good job of seizing it.....but I will be on the lookout and hope it will show up again.
