In answer to your question this photo is cropped by approximately 30%. Most manoeuvres were performed over the runway and unfortunately we arrived at about 10 AM: too late to have a decent position at the front where the action is. Consequently we missed some great shots. This year though we will stay overnight at Fairford in order to claim a position at the front at seven am. We were there all day and the light varied from cloudy to sunlight. As for how far I was you can have a look at a snapshot I took with the Vlux 4 that accompanies this comment and you will get an idea yourself.
