Before all the Euroraters on the site express their disgust with the banality

of American roller derby, I discovered in researching the 'sport' that it is

as big in Europe as it is here.

Your photo is certainly interesting and partially intriguing however your comment is definitely priceless, well done.

to someone unfamiliar with the sport, it's difficult to understand what might be happening here; since it appears that the refs are standing, it would be my guess that either this skater is off to the box just after a jam ended or the pack has come to a stand still somewhere out of the field of view; a wider field of view to put the skater in context with rest of the track activity would help
