Michael.  I think this is great.  I have also been experimenting a lot with longer exposure shooting and I like this approach.  All the best.  Dana...

In one of the other Dancing Feet photos, I mentioned the possibility of shooting a pair of feet that actually did seem to be dancing. There is one where there's the blur of movement, which I hadn't realized when I made that comment, though that one seems as much about photographic movement as it does dance. This one, seemingly a montage (?), does have the sense of dance . . . in that it's rhythmic, has repeated strokes, and suggests not just movement but a musical and energetic sort of movement. The photo, itself, feels choreographed, in a good way.

Actually, I created this photo as a composite of the other three you've seen.  It might have helped, instead of posting the ingredients as I did, to show them in the manner of Jorge Fernandez.  This would enable a viewer to see how the image developed.

It also might help you to know that all of the component images were shot at the performance of a flash mob.  This occurred on May 9, 2014 aboard the Oasis of the Seas before it returned to port.  I probably will post at least one more image.

Bottom line:  I don't have much experience photographing dance movements.  Intuitively, I shot the image involving movement (white shoes) at 1/13 sec.
