LenMarriott 9 Posted June 23, 2014 Good to get your take on this one. Here is the same kid four years ago who still loves playing but takes it more seriously now. :-) Best, LM. Link to comment
charo 3 Posted June 23, 2014 Hi Len. You made me smile with this image, and emotions that we can see. The title is really good and very appropriate. Well, I like football, and today I was watching the Netherlands vs Chile match, and by orange shirt, I guess you mean Holland. Good game! Several years ago (about 30) I read the book of Irving Stone, The Agony and the Ecstasy and really liked it a lot. I no longer have the book, but I'd like to read it again.Regards,Rosario. LenMarriott 9 Posted June 24, 2014 My reaction was the same as yours. I was smiling as I put these images together. In this case (local youth league) the orange shirt simply means the Wasaga Beach team. I don't think he's ready for the Netherlands team yet. Stay tuned though! :-) I may have read the book also but have no recollection of it's details. Google says it's about Michelangelo but perhaps only the title resonates with me. Seemed to readily fit the two shots I had of my #2 grandson. Thanks for your support on this one. Best, LM. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted June 24, 2014 your grandchildren are very much involved in the Mondial games... realy good mements.. the scenes are really bringing a smile.. NO girls photos.... most of them are boys and men in general...;-))Great title..! connecting literatur to football... SOL Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted June 24, 2014 Yes, a couple of my grandchildren are involved. FIFA stay tuned! :-) As for the girls, of which there are a quite a few on the teams, they were out there scoring the goals. How's that for gender equality? (superiority?) Thanks for your interest. hstelljes 41 Posted June 25, 2014 Kids don't usually hold back with their emotions Len and you've truly showcased that for us with these great images. I like the young man sitting towards the end looking over with an expression of whats all the excitement about. Thanks for sharing these great shots with us.BR,Holger Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted June 25, 2014 It's a fact, he's very 'into' the game. Yes, the other kid: Perhaps not clear on the concept yet. :-) Or, perhaps caught up in some hero worship of his overly exuberant teammate. Thanks for your observations. Best, LM. Link to comment
ray.koushik 0 Posted June 26, 2014 Nice composition and title. what attracts me more is the expression of the other child as his friend becomes ecstatic. compliments -koushik Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted June 26, 2014 Perhaps he thinks his friend's reaction is a little over the top. :-) Thanks for your observation. Best, LM. Link to comment
