I like the very flat appearance of this scene, enhanced by the uniform color of the turf and no vignetting.  The white stripes running to the edges seem to be part of the background, and the lower left green square seems to be cut and separated from the rest - a fun optical illusion.  Your timing was perfect for the shadow to be parallel with the stripe.  Well done.

Mark: many thanks for your comment. Don't tell anybody, but I have to confess, I wasn't exactly at the right time at this spot - I couldn't resist correcting the 1 - 2° I was late in photoshop to make this really work.

Perfect composition, very well seen.

i like the shadow of the pole.. reminds me of a golf course follow the painted line and its a whole in one. the contrast of the white line works well and the different lines and squares make this an interesting photo for me
