Sometimes the more permanent older buildings are the humblest ones, like

this very early farmhouse of modest French colonial design, little altered

over the centuries. A recent change of life to a museum after 13 or 14

generations of inhabitants chose to leave it unaltered, rather than to do a

more upscale restoration. Camera braced against window frame for slow

shutter speed.
