An overwhelming starry sky can often be viewed in Down Under yet - due

to relatively clean (non-polluted) air and the lack of light pollution (that is,

a greater number of larger cities).

You're viewing dead gum trees (Eukalyptus) and an intriguing starry sky

/ star trails due to a long exposure (around 30 min.) at Barmera, Lake

Bonney, Murray river basin, South Australia, after sunset in autumn

(April). The brightest star trail was due to planet Venus.

Your comments are very much apppreciated!

Hello Volker,

This one has a somewhat eerie and definitely timeless mood. I like the one light-colored streak that has a reflection in the water. A fascinating and haunting image.

your time exposures are always a great pleasure to see. I like how the "movement" star trails contast with resting trees.

And: big thanks for all your recent comments - I highly appreciate them!

This is so surreal and beautiful yet I know it's entirely natural.

Long exposures have become something of a cliché, but you have turned it into a real art form

Beautifully done!
