This is the type of photo result we all aspired to back in the 50's, 60's and even later.  Come to think of it, it would satisfy most from an outing today.  A classic B&W, medium format, high quality print.  I've never printed to 20 x20.  I think 16 x 20 was the largest I ever printed in B&W & that was during a rare time when I had access to a darkroom that could accommodate that larger size.  Great sky.  I would have guessed an orange or red filter.  You got great mileage from the yellow.   Best, LM.

Yah, I saw that.  I was just saying, had I not known it was a yellow filter, I would have guessed orange or red from the darkness of the sky.  Yellow worked well here.  Best, LM.

Definitely not red. I don't have a red -not at Hasselblad prices.

I listed the filter as a 1.5x.  Maybe it was a 2.0x.

The adjacent foto in this folder, same scene, 35mm format and it was taken with a "deep yellow" 2.0x filter

Correction. It was on 17" x 22" paper (Hahnemuhle Smooth) not 20" x 20".....which is the  counterpart to  Silver Gel 16" x 20" paper.

I do not know why sizes  in digital changed. Dark room paper 12" x 18" went to Digital 13" x 19" and Darkroom 16" X 20" went to  Digital 17" x  22".

And there is 24" x 36" but I don't have a printer that takes that size nor the pocket book to buy it.

Great tones, lights and shadows! I would only like to see a boat on the river maybe!

Best regards, Meir!

Almost identical results.  The only thing different, apart from the format, is that the grain is more apparent in the sky area of the 35mm offering & only when viewed 'Larger'.  Great promo for medium format.  Best, LM.
