Why my kind of close up!? Simply because I'm too lazy for awaitingsome bee or other small thing to come and pose!

Thank you for yourattention, dear colleagues!

Hi Pierre,

I think people they expect something different from you and when they not get what they want it makes them confuse. My opinion your image is very beautiful, unique!

Best regards, Tina

I think you measure time by a different standard!

In any case, aside from the vivid color tones and the interesting white area, what really attracts me are the subtle ridges and patterns in the stone.  Your level of postprocessing is just right.  Others (maybe me, included) may have a tendency to push the pp, resulting in the diminished ability on the part of a viewer to really appreciate both the beauty and the mystery of the stone.

Bravo, Maestro!

My best always,

michael

Hi Pierre,

I always expect something different for you, that is what makes your images so interesting.  Wonderful image with great lighting & I also love the details in the stones.  Take care, Patsy

Nice "C" shape reflection of the light! Interesting what light source you have used here.

Beautiful colour tone and structure of the stone! Warm regards, Tamara

Thank you Tamara,

Glad you like it, it's not much, but lately I'm interested in gemstones very much!

Cheers to the gemstones!

This is excellent. Does it mean you are changing your style? Are you going to be part of the "herd" like the rest of us??

Dear Pierre,

A most beautiful subject, exquisite light and engaging framing...sounds like a winning combination to me. It is nice to see this side of you!

Thank you, Timothy,

The lazy side (the larger one) you can see here! I only had two shots of this subject and rushed to expose it everywhere instead of trying to do something better!

I will now!

As my oldest daughter was approaching her moment to defend her PHd thesis again, she was getting very nervous because one of the panel members was very negative and controlling! I came up with the idea of given her a Tigers eyes necklace for good luck. And it work as she get highest honors Suma cum Laude. I haven't thought about Tigers eyes in more than 15 years. Thank you for the memories. Great image. Warm regards.

Thank you Jorge

Very interesting story, I got it quite recently and read about cause I was curious and it says that it's clearing the mind and that the Roman soldiers used to weary it in order to be more aware of the real situation, of the real danger!

Best regards
