that is the word I would use to describe this picture.  Beautiful colors!  the green background is a little distracting but on the other hand makes the violet stand out.  like it very much, Bernardo

Thank you for your kind words.  I do not dislike the green of the leaves nearly as I do the silver of the stake.  Try as I might, I could never do a convincing job of "cloning" it out.  I wish I could redo the image, some day in the future, but alas, a hungry rat decided to eat the specimen.
