What a powerful presentation!  Everything works well here, the monochrome, the weariness on her face and the right moment when she stretches her toes it all comes together to show the  hard life she has.

My complements.

Despite the volume of abstracts I've produced, my preference is to be out in the world photographing people as they relate to the world.  I'm still on a steep learning curve, but I am happy that you found this image to work for you.  Many thanks for your generous appraisal.

My best,

Hi Michael,

You have captured a moment of a lady in her own world that for a second let her guard down & showed the hard way of life she has endured.  Excellent capture!! I tried to give you the 7 you deserve but photo.net wouldn't let me, so you count my 6 as a 7. Take care, Patsy

Hi Michael,

This is a striking portrait for sure...great photography in the light and toning and a most engaging moment captured.

Thanks also to Jorge for reminding me of 'still I rise"...what a beautiful poem. She will be missed!

Very nice work here Michael!
