I like the movement that can be seen in the image. It reflects the play ground and joy of the situation very well.

The b&w works well for me as it eliminates the distraction of what I suppose is a combination of greens and earthen colours.

I love this boy's expression; as if he's inviting you to come and play with him because he's having a great time.

a beauty right up there  with the photographic story telling grace of the heavy weights of yesterday. Real fine work old man: sweet and pure and free of aesthetic trickery or special effects. You show nothing here but the magic that makes viewers feel the exuberance of the beautiful boy.

you have a way with the kids  J ack. they seem natural and comfortable around you. you see it in their faces and expressions. i love the way his hair is moving and how he is lost in the moment alone unaware of the others on top

It could have been taken the very exact moment of "the big one" back in 2011.

Everybody seem to be in such a hurry and determined to get to their destination fast. The young boy is heading right into Jack's camera!

Keep shooting.

Carlos said it very well.

Strangely, the heavyweights of yesterday that come to my mind are the famous war photographers (not in the least Capa) - I do not know if it's intentional but I really like the contrasting effect of this. It gives an otherwise lovely happy shot a dirty, hard edge just outside of itself, and to me, that adds to the story.

It's a pity that the sick and twisted of the world have made it so difficult and questionable to photograph the simple joys of a child in this day and age.  Kudos that you were able to do so, Jack.
