LenMarriott 9 Posted May 29, 2014 Light from a shady area under open skies. Colours are neutral. Photoshop was involved here but I tried to leave the colours alone as they look unnatural with increased saturation. I would have bet money, and would have lost, that the owl couldn't get the mouse down. Amazing to watch. Thanks for your visit. Best, LM. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted May 29, 2014 Long time, no see. I took a series of shots from the time the owl acquired the mouse until he actually swallowed it. This is the final shot from that series. The saying 'Less is more' came to my mind when I spotted the tail about to disappear. Good to hear from you again. Best, LM. Link to comment

However your image is great! Yes you cought me I tilled the camera and decided to go for it, funny because there are very few hills in Miami, we are mainly flat, the only hills I can think of is when going to cross a bridge! LenMarriott 9 Posted June 9, 2014 Thanks for taking time from your day to comment on this offering. All that's missing from this 'mouse sandwich' is the bread & butter! :-) It's a life lesson that my 8 year old grandson (the whole reason for the trip to the Wye Marsh) is not likely to forget soon.
