This only one bouquet looks very good here and large view shows in details all flower's elements,is true that black bg offers an excellent contrast for subject but did you think to have a different bright blur colored one sometime? To have black bg isolated the subject very well but light one gives a space dimension that imo is different.I used both of them(is true most of my flowers photos have dark bg) but I saw to other members here on PN a very nice result with bright bg.Just an observation and mine thoughts for this subject.

best regards

Hi Radu,

I always appreciate your input. I don't have anything against another bg, if it can be done well and is not distracting. Many of your recent outdoor shots illustrate this. I find I have more control over the subject indoors and the black allows me to better show the intricacies of the flowers. I have tried lighter bg, but find the effect not so strong. But that's just me. Thanks again.

Greg,is perfect right what you said that is better control the subject with black bg,sometime myself find difficult outside to have in bg what I want, usually if there is some nice green tonality it works,I do not like strong light or some bright spot on bg that most of time disturb the attention from main subject.I did experiences with different situation sometime works, sometime no,but this is our pleasure and is very good to share our result and learn each other for better photos.

have a nice weekend you two
