This fellow appears to be very intense.  Perhaps camera shy.  Lots of people like that.  You've balanced the exposure well with your flash though.  I've been generally very pleased when I upgrade a post from a photo with one from the original negative.  A worthwhile endeavor for your favourites.  Always interesting to view your latest posts.  Best, LM.

In "archiving" negatives to hard drive I am finding gross spots with missing emulsion (I think)???

Not on the darkroom prints made years ago.  Bacterial growth?  I'm able to clone out the areas.

You Len, are the one who introduced me to the tool. I hardly know what any of the Adobe tools are about. 

A wonderful face. Lots can be read from the clothes, the expression and the eyes.

On further looking, I think those Adobe tools can be useful. :)
